Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

This policy will advise you about how we protect your personal information, about what choices you have concerning our use of such information and the terms and conditions applying to our Site. Please read this policy carefully. We may need to change this policy from time to time in order to address new issues and reflect changes on our Site. We will post those changes here so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and whether we will disclose that information to anyone. Please refer back to this policy regularly.

Scope of Privacy Policy

This policy applies to your use of all of the site and services owned or operated by MEDF INC. ("MEDF"), and affiliated companies, (collectively "we," "us," or "our") (the "Site"). This policy does not apply to your use of unaffiliated sites to which our Site only links. This policy covers only information collected on the Site.

Scope of Terms and Conditions

These terms of use apply to your use of all of the sites and services owned or operated by MEDF, and affiliated companies, including companies controlled by MEDF (collectively "we," "us," or "our") (the "Site"). These terms and conditions do not apply to your use of unaffiliated sites to which the Site only links.

Use of the Site is subject to compliance with these terms of use. You acknowledge and agree that we may terminate your access to the Site should you fail to comply with these terms of use or any other terms, conditions, guidelines or rules published by us. Any such termination shall be at our discretion and may occur without notice.

Restrictions on Use of Materials

The elements of the Site, including but not limited to information, logos, designs, text, graphics, images, photographs, and/or software, are protected by copyright and trade-mark laws and are our property or the property of our suppliers or other third party product and service providers. You may not modify, copy, publish, adapt or in any way misappropriate any such Site content, nor may you delete any such copyright or trade-mark notice from materials printed or downloaded from the Site.

Personal Identification Information

We may request personal identification information from you in connection with your application for equity investment, or your participation in surveys, forums or additional information (including via email to us). In all of these cases, we will collect personal identification information from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to us.

If you do provide us with personal information for any of these activities, we may use it to conduct the activity. We may also use cookie technology (discussed in detail below) to improve your experience of these activities. In addition, in the event your personally identifiable information is requested as part of our surveys or polls, such personally identifiable information may be added to your personal information submitted as part of your application for equity investment funding.

We may also use personal identification information for internal or external marketing and promotional purposes. On occasion, for example, we may send you e-mails to introduce a product or service that we think might be of interest to the users of our Site. You may choose to "opt-out" at any time, even after you have provided personal information, by following the procedures set forth below at the end of this policy.

We have the following exceptions to these policies: We will release specific information about you to comply with any valid legal inquiry or process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute or court order. We will also release specific information in special cases, such as if there is an attempted breach of the security of the Site, or a physical or property threat to you or others. We may also transfer user information, including personally identifiable information, in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, the sale of related assets or corporate division or other fundamental corporate change.

Non-Personal Identification Information

We may collect non-personal identification information through the use of:

"Cookie technology”: A "cookie" is an element of data that a web site can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system.

"IP address tracking": An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you are on the Internet. When you request pages from our Site, our web tracking software logs your IP address.

"Web beacons": A Web beacon, or "clear gif", is a small graphic image on a webpage or web-based document that a web site can use to determine information about a user.

Non-personal identification information might include the browser you use, the type of computer, technical information about your means of connection to our Site-such as the operating systems and the Internet service providers utilized, and other similar information.

We use such information to administer the Site and, in the aggregate, to understand how our users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site. This way we know which areas of our Sites are favorites of our users, which areas need improvement, and what technologies are being used so that we may continually improve our Site.

We may share this aggregate statistical information with our partners and other third parties, but we will not share any individual names, personal navigational or other personal information.

Most browsers are set to accept cookies. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent.

The Site may be P3P enabled. P3P is a standardized set of multiple-choice questions which cover the major aspects of a Web site's privacy policies and which, taken together, present a clear snapshot of how a site handles users' personal information. P3P-enabled Web sites make this information available in a standard, machine-readable format that P3P enabled browsers can "read" automatically and compare to the user's own set of privacy preferences. For example, Internet Explorer 6 requires third parties that set cookies to deliver P3P compact cookie policies with their cookies. IE6's default setting will test whether a cookie collects personal information and allows an opt-out. IE6 users may change their privacy level to a higher or lower level than the default setting. P3P was developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), a worldwide web standards setting organization.

TO THE EXTENT THE FOREGOING LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IS PROHIBITED, OUR SOLE OBLIGATION TO YOU BY US OR ANY OF OUR LICENSORS OR PARTNERS FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE) SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US, IF ANY, FOR ACCESSING THE SITE.
